VERY IMPORTANT:
It is important that you and your wedding party be on time. If your
wedding is delayed, you could forfeit your photography,
your wedding be canceled or additional fees may apply as there may be others scheduled after you.
Q: WHAT TIME
SHOULD I ARRIVE AT THE CHAPEL?
A: Please arrive no earlier than the scheduled time you have reserved. Arriving Fifteen minutes prior to your service, we have found this
to be sufficient time.
Q: WILL SOMEONE
TELL US WHAT TO DO?
A: The chapel wedding staff and minister will be
with you all the time and will instruct you and your
bridal party.
Q: CAN SOMEONE
WALK ME DOWN THE AISLE?
A: Yes, he or she should be in the back five minutes
before the service.
Q: IS THERE
SOMEWHERE FOR ME TO DRESS?
A: There is a bridal dressing room. All other members
of the wedding party must come dressed.
Q: WHICH
DOOR DO WE ENTER?
A: Bride, groom and wedding party through the back entrance.
Guests enter through the front door.
Q: WHAT ABOUT
MY FLOWERS?
A: If you ordered your flowers through the chapel, they
will be waiting for you when you arrive.
Q: WHERE
DO THE GUESTS PARK?
A: We have a small parking lot behind the chapel. There
is plenty of street parking on Ashley, Bee, and Cannon.
Also there is an MUSC parking garage 3 blocks away on
Cannon.
Q: WHERE
DO PARENTS SIT?
A: Parents of the bride sit on the left front bench.
Parents of the groom on the right front bench.
Q: MAY I
HAVE A SPECIAL SONG PLAYED DURING THE SERVICE?
A; Yes - One. It must be a CD and marked
with the number.
Q: MAY WE
QUOTE OR SAY SOMETHING SPECIAL DURING THE CEREMONY?
A: Yes, Inform our staff the day of the service.
Q: IS THERE
A STAND FOR MY GUEST BOOK?
A: Yes. Assign someone to be responsible for getting you guest to register for you.
Q: WHAT ABOUT
STEP-PARENTS? WHERE DO THEY SIT?
A: We suggest the second row, but feel this should be
pre-determined by the bride and groom.
Q: WILL I
BE ABLE TO CHOOSE SOME OF MY BRIDAL POSES SUCH AS FAMILY
SHOTS?
A: Yes, inform our photographer during the photography session.
Q: WHEN DO
I NEED TO CLEAR THE BRIDAL DRESSING AREA?
A: Assign someone to do this for you immediately after
the service.
Q: HOW DO
I GET A SOUTH CAROLINA MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE?
A: A South Carolina Marriage license must be obtained
and handed to the minister at the time of your arrival
at the chapel. One may be obtained from any courthouse
in the state of SC. Both parties must be present to
apply. A driver's license from any state is an adequate
form of identification. No divorce papers must be presented.
After you apply, you must wait twenty-four hours before
you can pick up the license. Since courthouses are closed
on the weekend, you cannot apply on Friday and pick
it up on Saturday. You must apply by Thursday at 4pm
to be able to pick up the license on Friday by 4pm.
If you are applying on a Thursday and planning to pick
the license up on Friday, please call ahead to make
sure that there are no holidays scheduled for that Friday.
Please keep this in mind when making your travel arrangements.

Q: HOW DO
I LOCATE THE JUDICIAL FACILITY?
A: The courthouse is located in Charleston's historic
district. It is located at 100 Broad Street, Suite 469.

WHERE IS THE CHAPEL LOCATED?
A: GO ALL THE WAY TO THE END OF I-26! (DO NOT TAKE COSGROVE
EXIT!) Exit 221A, bear RIGHT onto US-17 (South), After
traffic lights turn RIGHT onto Rutledge Ave., (about
1 block, look for hospital sign). Turn RIGHT onto Bee
St. turn RIGHT onto Ashley Ave. Use left lane. Charleston
Chapel is Located between Cannon and Spring St.
